About Discovery Earth
What Is Discovery Earth?
Discovery Earth is a media and creative platform offering high-quality canvas prints, inspiring blog articles, and stunning videos & documentary that celebrate nature, wildlife, and our planet.
What does Discovery Earth do?
We produce travel products such as guides, science articles, documentaries, and travel videos. We also sell canvas and acrylic prints for interior decoration.
What is your mission or purpose?
Our primary mission is to educate people about nature, science, and the beauty of our planet so we can ensure its future. Despite the National Geographic and Lonely Planet magazines of this world, we believe there are never enough companies to pursue this path.
How did Discovery Earth start?
As a frequent traveler working for the UN, I have always been a lover of nature and travel. Seeing how badly man can treat nature and his fellow man, I decided to start my own media company to create articles and documentaries to show how important it is to protect this nature. I therefore created Discovery Earth.
What makes Discovery Earth different from other travel and nature websites?
I believe that large companies like National Geographic, BBC Earth, and Lonely Planet are doing excellent work. Our goal here is not to be different, but to add more content about nature and the world to reach more people.
How often do you release new content (articles, videos, or products)?
We try to publish content regularly. However, you should know that as a small business, we don't have the necessary resources. Therefore, to publish quality journalistic content, our current cadence is around 1 post per month.
Are you open to partnerships or sponsorships?

Products Questions
Where are your products made?
All our products are produced in Montreal. The materials used for production come from North America or Europe.
What Products are you selling?
We sell canvas prints, travel wall clocks, and acrylic snowboards, all for interior decoration.
Are your products handmade or mass-produced?
All our products are handmade in Montreal.
Do you collaborate with photographers or artists?
We collaborate with artists or rent the rights to use the photos.
What materials are used for your products?
For canvas we use a Pigment-based Inkjet with archival ink + 410g/m2 Poly-Cotton Acid Free Canvas, 65% cotton/35% polyester. For acrylic we use Digital grade acrylic print 1/8 inches with a Black mount frame.
What type of canvas do you sell?
We sell standard canvases with a 1.5-inch or 3/4-inch thick wooden frame, depending on your choice. For finishing, we offer unvarnished, matte varnish, and semi-gloss varnish. Each canvas is handmade here in Canada. The photos used come from different independent artists.
What are Travel Wall Clocks?
Travel Wall Clocks are acrylic clocks printed with a travel photograph, just like those found in hotels. They are handmade here in Canada. You can easily create your own collection at home.
What are Acrylic Snowboard?
Our acrylic snowboards are wall art made from mountain panoramas. Each photo is high quality, often 50 megapixels or more to avoid low resolution. The board is handmade in Montreal.
Can I get my own photo printed on a clock or snowboard?

Are the colors on the website accurate to the real product?
There is always a slight variation between the colors seen on your screen and the actual colors of the print because your screen is probably not calibrated. In addition, the color will also vary due to the finish applied to your print.
Are your canvas prints ready to hang?
Yes. Additionally, depending on the type of print, we can offer several hanging methods.
What sizes are available for each product?
For each product, we have selected sizes that can be considered standard. However, for canvases, since our products are handmade, we can build them to a custom size. To do so, please contact us with a description of your project. Click HERE to fill out the form.
Do you offer framing options?
We do not offer framing directly here. However, with the help of our partners, we can offer you a framing service if you wish. Please contact us and we will find the best solution for your project. Please fill out the form HERE
Are your products waterproof or suitable for outdoor use?
No.
How can I care for and clean my canvas or acrylic print?
Canvas:
- NOT for outdoor usage
- Keep away from moisture & humidity
- Do NOT use any damp cloth or water and other liquid for cleaning.
- Recommanded care: light usage of feather duster
Acrylic:
- Always use a very soft microfiber or damp cloth.
- Does not require a special cleaner and any non-ammonia cleaner such as Windex can be used
Shipping & Delivery
Do you ship worldwide?
We consider "worldwide" to mean anything outside of Canada and the continental United States. Yes, we ship worldwide, but only rolled products such as posters and rolled canvases. Please refer to our shipping page for more information. Learn More HERE
How long does shipping take?
Unfortunately, we have no control over the shipping companies. However, on average, a delivery time of 5 to 10 days for Canada and Continental USA. For worldwide delivery, expect up to 1 month and possibly more. I recommend you contact your delivery company for more details since we use several companies. The time of year, holidays or other reasons can also affect the delivery time.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is free for Canada and Continental USA. Worldwide shipping is subject to a fee that can only be assessed after we receive your project and address. Therefore, if your shipping address is outside the free zone, you must contact us before your purchase so we can assess it. Visit our shipping infos page HERE
How can I track my order?
Once your order is complete, we will send you an email confirming that your package has been shipped with the tracking number included.
What should I do if my order arrives damaged?
Contact us immediately. We have a 30-day return policy for any issues not directly related to the buyer. This includes defects, assembly problems, or damage due to transit to the delivery address. These procedures can be complex to ensure that these damages were not caused by the buyer. Please read our return policy page HERE.
Do you offer express or expedited shipping?
Express or expedited shipping is not currently offered by default in our system. We therefore recommend contacting us before purchasing. Please note that this does not change the fact that your project may take up to 10 business days to complete.
How are products packaged to prevent damage?
Our products are packaged in boxes with bubble wrap and Styrofoam to protect the corners.
Can I change my shipping address after placing an order?
Yes. But I advise you to do it as soon as possible and it is not certain that this will be possible if your package is already finished.
Orders & Payments
What payment methods do you accept?
Currently, we accept various credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express as well as Paypal, Google Pay and Apple Pay.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. We only have access to basic information associated with your identity, such as your name, address, and email. Your transaction-related information remains confidential within the systems of companies involved in the transaction, such as Stripe or PayPal. Visit our page on our privacy policy HERE.
Can I cancel or change my order after placing it?
You can cancel your purchase until production begins. After that, we will charge you for the materials used. See our terms and conditions HERE
Do you offer gift cards or discount codes?
Not at the moment, but it is a project we want to implement in the future.
Will I receive an order confirmation email?
Yes. Our system will send you an email confirming your transaction. If you would like a more detailed invoice, please contact us and we will email you an invoice.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your return policy?
We have a 30 days return policy from the day the print is received for any issues that are not within the control of Discovery Earth, VistArt Enterprises or one of its production partners like Pictorem. This includes defects, assembly problems or damage due to transit to the delivery address. Read our Term & Conditions HERE
Can I return or exchange custom-made products?
To be eligible for a return, you must receive a return authorization from the manufacturer. If you wish an exchange for any other reason that is not part of our return policy, you must assume all costs related to this return plus the costs associated with the modification, construction or exchange of your product. How long do I have to request a return or exchange?
30 days.
Who pays for return shipping?
If your return meets our terms and conditions and is accepted, we will cover the return shipping costs. If you require an exchange or for any other reason that does not meet our terms and conditions, you will be responsible for the return shipping costs. Read our Terms & Conditions HERE
What should I do if I receive the wrong product?
The chances of receiving the wrong product are extremely low. However, if this happens, please contact us as soon as possible HERE

Are you recruiting or looking for staff?

Can I suggest a topic for an article or video?
Yes. If you have an idea, please contact us using the contact form HERE. We will assess the feasibility of the project (time, cost, etc.) and get back to you.
Are your articles and videos based on real experiences and travels?
100% Yes. The articles or documentaries are based on the real experience of the writer or a source.
Do you collaborate with other creators or experts?
We always collaborate with experts to create articles or documentaries regarding knowledge. However, we strongly consider teaming up with other producers to produce our documentaries.
Can viewers or readers comment on articles and videos?
You can comment on our articles and documentaries directly on our website or on social media. You can also comment on our products directly on our website.
How can I support your content creation?
You can support us by:

- Purchasing our products. We invest all profits into the creation of articles and documentaries

What topics do your articles cover?
We try to cover everything related to travel, science and the environment
Are your blogs more focused on travel guides, science, or environmental education?
For now, we are focusing more on travel articles, but in the future and with more resources, we want to move more towards science and environment.
Do you offer practical travel tips in your articles?

Can I contribute a guest article to your blog?
Absolutely! All contributions are welcome. Contact us with your project and we will assess whether it is suitable for us and what corrections need to be made.
How reliable is the information in your travel and science articles?
The information in our articles was carefully reviewed at the time of writing. It is possible that this information is incorrect as of the date you read the document. You can read our Terms and Conditions for more information HERE
Are the photos in the articles taken by your team?
Yes. Most photos are taken with Nikon, Fujifilm, or simply a cell phone if conditions don't allow for a camera. Drones are also used.
Video & Documentary
What kind of documentaries do you create?
We want to specialize in areas such as science, technology, travel and the environment.
Where do you film your documentaries?
We don't have a specific location. We are more motivated by the choice of subject and its approachability.
How long are your typical videos or documentaries?
Currently, we are producing short documentaries (up to 10 minutes). We hope to film longer documentaries up to 45 minutes in the near future if we can build the right team.
Do you use drones or professional filming equipment?
Yes. Drones are standard equipment today. They are used only if local regulations allow.
Are your documentaries suitable for children or educational purposes?
We strive to produce educational documentaries for everyone.
Can I purchase or license your video footage?

How can I watch your full-length documentaries?
